The PADI Advanced Openwater class is designed to build confidence and be a taster for the various aspects of diving. 5 dives are completed over 2 days with your instructor. You will master Peak Performance Bouyancy, do a Deep Dive, learn Navigation and choose either Fish Identification, Underwater Naturalist, Search and Recovery, Boat Diving, introduction to Nitrox or Underwater Photography. No, we don’t do ice diving here!
There is no exam but divers must complete the knowledge reviews for the dives they are doing prior to certification. Equipment and the PADI manual are included. For divers wishing to study prior to arriving on island PADI also offers E-learning for the Advanced class. Cost is $120.00
A medical questionnaire is required for all instruction. Any “Yes” answers require a doctor’s written approval to dive.
